Jeff is a 1984 graduate of Southern Methodist University Law School. He began trying cases immediately after graduation and by 1989 had tried enough jury trials to become board certified in civil trial law at age 29.

About the same time, he became partners with Bob Sullivan and they have been partners ever since.

Jeff's practice consists primarily of trial work on both sides of the docket in business and personal injury litigation, and complex family law matters.

Jeff is married to Lisa Cook and they live in Southlake, Texas. He has four children. Jeff's hobbies primarily involve hunting and horses. Jeff is active in many conservation organizations, including being a life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Jeff operates Widowmaker Trail Rides, a horseback riding business which conducts guided horseback rides. Jeff is also a licensed guide in Wyoming and personally guides wilderness elk hunts for both archery and gun hunters. Finally, Jeff is a life member of the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa and books and guides African safaris.
